Don't just use "any oil" in the Kenne Bell compressor. The compressor has unique gears and gaskets that can be adversely affected by some oils. Therefore, Kenne Bell recommends using only the compressor oil recommended by the Kenne Bell plant.
Kenne bell supercharger sight oil uses a specially formulated blend of friction and anti-foam modifiers based on Lucas Synthetic 50W Racing Oil with a blue formula that colors the clear oil so it can be seen on the dipstick to prevent overfilling. The standard Lucas oil is so clear and pure that the oil has no color and can be difficult to see on the stick.
Suitable for: Autorotor, Opcon, Kenne Bell, Lysholm, Eaton, Ubercharger, TRD, Magnuson, Jackson Racing, Magna Charger and Whipple Twin Screw superchargers.
Kenne Bell:
"We use Lucas because we think it's the best oil available. That doesn't mean that other oils aren't quite sufficient for engines or transmissions. Superchargers just need a dedicated oil.
For normal use, we recommend changing oil every 12,000 miles. Tougher use requires more frequent oil changes. "
The standard bottle holds 8 ounces and the compressor holds about 5 ounces.
